Alison is an enthusiastic chartered physiotherapist, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and is recognised by all major insurance companies.
Alison initially completed a Sports Therapy degree at Edge Hill University and then went on to do a Post Graduate Diploma in Physiotherapy at The University of Huddersfield.
She has gained a wealth of musculoskeletal experience in occupational injuries, orthopaedics and both acute and chronic sports-related injuries through working with sports teams and the NHS.
Alison has worked for Summit Physiotherapy for almost 4 years now since qualifying, she specialises in active rehabilitation. This can be joint or injury specific, or addressing a global physical condition limiting movement and function. Summit Physiotherapy has helped to nurture her skills and passion in helping people of all ages and abilities to recover and reach their full potential. As a physiotherapist, she strives to inspire and motivate patients recovering from injury, through Performance Screening or patient-specific assessment.
Alison is committed to continuing her professional development through attending courses to ensure that the physiotherapy treatment provided follows evidence-based practise and that the most up-to-date techniques are used. She has a particular interest in kinetic control, analysing biomechanical movement in order to help manage uncontrolled movement for injury prevention.
Alison has a passion for sport and keeping fit; she regularly attends the gym, plays netball and has recently started CrossFit training.
