Emma graduated from the University of Salford with a First Class Honours Degree in Sports Rehabilitation and has been working in this field for 3 years.
From being a student, Emma has always had a keen interest in lower limb injury prevention and specifically knee control. She has had great success returning clients suffering from, or at risk of, knee injuries to full fitness using assessment and rehabilitation protocols from clinical experience and current literature. During the last two years at Summit Physiotherapy, Emma has developed fantastic experience treating lower back and shoulder pain. Using her knowledge of movement control, she is able to determine the root cause of patients’ symptoms and administer the appropriate treatment.
Emma loves her job, as every case she works with is a puzzle that needs to be solved. Each patient and injury are never exactly the same and Emma finds that developing a close rapport with her patients is very important. This enables her to gain trust, understanding and promote a better recovery for her patients.
Outside of her work at Summit, Emma plays netball twice a week and spends the majority of her spare time playing with her two-year-old son.
