HOME VISITS

At Summit Physio we offer a limited slot of home visit appointments. These are considered and based upon factors including;

  • – Location
  • – Lack of mobility or inability to commute
  • – Lifestyle commitments
  • – Complexity and necessity of physiotherapy

Your Personalised Treatment

Each new client/condition will have an initial consultation where one of our skilled clinicians will take a detailed and confidential history and physical assessment. Then, using Summit’s education board, we will explain why the condition has occurred, allowing you to properly understand the cause of your pain/problem.

From here a relevant, evidence-based and up-to-date private physiotherapy treatment plan can be put into action.

You will be given an exercise programme at the end of the session, in conjunction with your treatment. Not only will this maximise the benefits of the treatment, it will allow you to self-manage your symptoms where possible.

Helping You To Help Yourself

Summit also promotes positive lifestyle behaviours by teaching individuals to self-manage their condition. This improves confidence, sense of wellbeing and quality of life.

With these new acquired skills, we can give you a long-term solution so you can prevent reoccurrence of your condition and improve confidence

Above all, we are here to help you get better and give you the confidence to embrace the treatment. A happy client means a quicker recovery, and that’s what we provide here at Summit.

How to book

As this service is limited and needs to be co-ordinated around other scheduled visits, clients are reviewed case-by-case. Please call us on 0800 731 2738 or send your query to getmebetter@summitphysio.co.uk

Lessons from a Rupture: Looking After the Achilles Tendon

Lessons from a Rupture: Looking After the Achilles Tendon

Achilles and I have something in common. Unfortunately, it’s not the super-human fighting ability or a story that went down in history; it’s the fact that we were both taken out by a blow to the heel. Achilles, for those who don’t know, was an Ancient Greek legend, a hero of the Trojan War. His […]

Can an Achilles tendon injury be ironic? In my case, yes!

Can an Achilles tendon injury be ironic? In my case, yes!

There was a definite irony when on 22nd July 2014 I ruptured my Achilles tendon while boxing. I have treated MSK injuries for over 12 years explaining the process and emotional rollercoaster that patients go through with severe injuries like this, and now I will go through it myself. There are many ironic parts of […]
