Hi, I’m Sarah,
Before joining Summit Physiotherapy, I was a professional dancer on cruise ships for 6-years travelling the world and performing.
Upon retirement from my dance career, I graduated from the University of Bolton earning a First-Class Honours Degree in Sports Rehabilitation and I’m a registered member of British Association of Sport Rehabilitation and Trainers (BASRaT).
I have experience working within professional rugby (Wigan Warriors) and football teams (Bury FC, AFC Fylde & Chorley FC Women) in the North West of England, a range of sport injuries at the Sports & Spinal Injury Clinic in Bolton and providing therapy to post-knee or hip-surgery patients in private practices. I’m also actively involved in the MS society in efforts to support individuals with Multiple Sclerosis.
I have a keen interest in research, particularly related to shoulder injuries having completed research into the Impact of manual therapy techniques on swimmers with scapula dyskinesis. I enjoy and believe in creating injury rehabilitation programmes which cater for each person’s individual needs.
Outside of work, I enjoy attending the gym and yoga, as well as walking and hiking with my family.
