David graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a BSc (Hons) degree in Physiotherapy. He is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and The Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP).
After graduating, David began work with the NHS across several sites in the North West, within all specialties of physiotherapy. He combined this with private work, working with Warrington Wolves and Blackpool Panthers rugby league teams.
In 2012, David joined Summit, allowing him to specialise in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. During the past 2 years he has become particularly interested in kinetic control movement analysis, functional rehabilitation and movement screening. As a result, he has undergone further training in pilates, the performance matrix, movement performance screening and most recently acupuncture, where he is registered with the AACP.
Having worked with a large scope of clients, from elite to recreational athletes, David is well practised in providing treatment that is tailored to the individual’s needs. Throughout his career he has maintained very high standards, where each treatment plan is continually monitored until the desired outcome is achieved.
David is also part of the Summit Committee and is responsible for ensuring the whole Summit team is working in an evidence-based approach.
David is a keen sportsman in his spare time and can be regularly seen in the David Lloyd gym at Chorley. He has completed events including the Brathay Windermere Marathon, NW Tough Mudder and Manchester 10km Great Run. He also enjoys a variety of sports including; football, golf, rugby and windsurfing.
